If you do not want to deal with the odd software issue and maybe offer a small part of your time to assist, firstly, maybe get out of the Beta programs so some people that are willing to help can get in there. Ableton are one of the best with feedback to direct (well mannered) communications. NI can be painful to communicate with sometimes but they also have a Beta program (which I am a part of too). I contact companies ALL the time about issues and funnily most of the time these issues are fixed or they let me know what the cause may be. You need to wake up and realise that sometimes shit happens and sometimes you need to invest some time to assist to fix. with the Beta? So you want to bring up an issue you have found (that appears to not affect anyone else so that's something I would reflect upon) but you don't want to do anything to help? Why are you using the BETA is you believe it is "not your duty" to report back issues you find. wait and hope and pray again and again? refrain from editing NI VSTI and just use your library?
blurry screen again, after restarting Live? Leaving the assumption that this HIDPI-Switch is another weird "solution". NI might not be ready for HiDPI, but at least they work until i activate HiDPI in Live 10. Is it really my job to bring all these guys to work together for a basically functional environment? It's their products you are talking about. What can ableton do? Magically re-write the graphics of NI's code? Nope. You can talk about "passing the buck" but that's daft - these it's NI's job to make their plugins work on retina screens. Try your NI plugins in any DAW and it will be the same. Angstrom wrote:As far as I know Native Instruments plugins are not "retina ready", so it really is not Abletons business.
